Intensive English program with American Experience is a 3-week Edu program in Austin, Texas designed specifically for qualifying students to participate in an immersive experience to enhance English language skills and global competencies. Students will be grouped according to their pre-assessed levels so that their program will maximize impact and improvement. Students will participate in structured learning environments and real-world situations. The general program combines 12 hours per week of instruction in speaking, listening, reading and writing with 6 hours per week of individualized practice in the language lab. Cultural activities, university campus tours and day trips to San Antonio, Texas are included. Private dormitories located within walking distance from school, the University of Texas at Austin campus, and highly accessible by public transportation.

Intensive Reading (IR) Students read a variety of differentiated materials and participate in structured discussions. An emphasis is placed on language and meaning-focused reading, as well as vocabulary development.
Extensive Reading (ER) Students read a wide variety of leveled materials. Emphasis is placed on fluency development and reading for pleasure. Targeted small group instruction is provided to build student comprehension and decoding skills.
Writing Workshop (WW) Students produce a variety of writings of different genres following the individualized learning plan. The course emphasizes the stages of the writing process with a student-centered approach.
Public Speaking (PS) Students present extemporaneous and prepared speeches. The course focuses on the development of formal, public speaking skills.
Conversational English (CE) Students engage in structured and unstructured discussions on a variety of topics. The course focuses on authentic and informal communication. Individualized feedback allows students to address specific patterns of error.
Listening (LI) Students listen to a variety of materials and participate in structured discussions. An emphasis is placed on language and meaning-focused reading, as well as vocabulary development.
Language and Community (LC) Students use language in authentic contexts. The course focuses on building a student's ability to communicate with native and non-native speakers in a variety of situations. Focused tasks encourage students to build confidence and create connections within the community.
Language Lab (LAB) Students follow an individualized learning plan using digital resources. The course focuses on building skills to complement other courses. Individualized conferences support students in the successful completion of their learning plans.

EDUTOURISM will refund all payments minus the cancellation fee listed above. No refunds will be given on or after 06/01/2020
Note: If an application is rejected or if space in the program is not available, all deposits/payments will be refunded in full, minus the application fee.
Refunds for students who must withdraw because of illness or emergency will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
