This course will advance students’ analysis skills as they learn the tools to analyze strategy across time, industries, geographies (international & domestic), and institutions.

The EduTourism's EduProgram in partnership with UTRGV in Advanced Business Administration covers a series about the fundamentals of business concepts, theories and practices.

This course will advance students’ analysis skills as they learn the tools to analyze strategy across time, industries, geographies (international & domestic), and institutions. We'll introduce the tools you need to complete a comprehensive evaluation and understand the strategy dynamics of an industry, such as Competitive Lifecycle, Internationalization and Stakeholder Analyses, and Diversification Matrices. We'll apply these tools in case studies of industry leaders throughout the world.

You will learn:

  • The dynamics of competition, the competitive life cycle, and strategies to survive and thrive through industry disruption
  • How businesses compete across industries, the value of being in different markets, and the right degree of diversification
  • Stakeholder management and how engaging with non-capital stakeholders can create value
  • Internationalization strategies, how, where, and when to enter foreign markets, and foreign direct investment

Students who earn the certificate will be prepared to apply the learned concepts to real business administration situations in a variety of industries. Individuals that do not hold a business undergraduate degree will find the certificate program to be great preparation for the MBA program.

Dr. Andoh-Baidoo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Systems. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a major in Information Systems and a minor in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Andoh-Baidoo also has an MBA and Masters in IT Management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His undergraduate is in Materials Engineering is from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He serves on the editorial review board of several Information Systems journals. He is a certified Oracle Database Administrator and has industry experience in Enterprise Resource Planning Systems and Business Intelligence.

EDUTOURISM will refund all payments minus the cancellation fee listed above. No refunds will be given on or after 06/01/2021

Note: If an application is rejected or if space in the program is not available, all deposits/payments will be refunded in full, minus the application fee.

Refunds for students who must withdraw because of illness or emergency will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
